Using the Power of Food to Heal Ourselves and Our Planet
Dr. Kerry Graff contacted me in April of 2014 after finding our 4Leaf materials online. She had seen Forks Over Knives a few months earlier, then concluded that she had been short-changing her patients during her twenty years of practicing medicine. After deciding to convert her family medical practice from “sick care” to true “health care,” she began searching online for tools that would help her share her new found knowledge with her patients.
That’s when she found me, J. Morris Hicks, and the 4Leaf Program website that featured the kind of handy tools she was seeking. Since that time, she and I have developed new tools together, rebuilt the 4Leaf website and we just published our first book together.

Praise from around the globe. We’ve received endorsements from 16 people, including 8 MDs, many of whom have started using our 4Leaf materials in their practices.
Reading List for Better Understanding. While we cover everything you need to know to get started, we recommend that you do some additional reading to gain more understanding. Many of the books we suggest can be found here.
We’re so excited to share this book with you. Hopefully, our friends, families, and doctors everywhere will have the chance to read it. As Susan Benigas of Plantrician.org says:
“We can only make so much progress on our own. We simply must find a way to get mainstream medicine on board when it comes to the incredible, health-promoting power of plant-based nutrition. For, until they embrace the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet; and, in turn, promote patient adoption, this essential dietary shift on a broad scale will be elusive.”
